Media That I Use

Media that I use in my life is no different than the media that everyone else uses. In the morning, my cell phone alarm clock goes off, then I proceed to go and turn on the television in the living room to either the Today Show or CNN. This is where I get my news in the morning. On the drive to school, I always have something playing in the car, whether it be the radio, a CD, or my ipod. While at school, I use my laptop to connect to the Internet, again, where I get news, but also check my bank account balance, my e-mail, and WebCT for various school stuff. At home, the TV is always on for background noise, but music from itunes on my home computer is also prevalant. As you can see, media of all sorts is a big part of my life, as it is, I'm sure, with everyone else in our class.

Online Identity Project--Last One!!

For the final project in this class, I plan to use a Myspace page. The three modes that I will be using will be: the myspace page itself, still images, text, and music. I haven't decided on a music player with various songs yet, or just one. My one, unified identity will be focused on my life as a student, and the universal struggles that students all go through. For example, time and stress management, lack of money, and juggling home life with school are all possibilities that I might touch upon. I'm really excited to get started!

Group Identity Project

1. What overall identity are you performing for your client?
We are setting up a profile on the myspace site for the famous Big Bad Wolf. It focuses on his career in Hollywood, his life now, and is a tongue-in-cheek look at all of this.
2. Who are you performing for/to?
The profile is for the Big Bad Wolf, and our audience is the whole of English class 326.
3. What goals do you have for this performance?
I hope to make everyone laugh who looks at it, and for people to know that it should not be taken too seriously. I also want an "A". ;-) We as a group want to ultimately present another side of the Big Bad Wolf that people have never known.
4. Would your client approve?
Other than the fact that he is a fictional character, I think he would like the profile that we are creating. We gave him a Playboy bunny for a girlfriend! He better like it!
